Knits knits knits. Bit too warm for knits today in Sydney but in the interest of Aussie Curves, I dug out this little number from Carmakoma.
This is actually two dresses: both matching, layered over each other, from Danish label Carmakoma – got them for a bargain basement price at their end of winter sale last year. I really like their designs: simple and flattering but funky and edgy at the same time.
It's soooo wearable too. I don't normally do body-con/form-fitting things as I find they show too many lumps and bumps. Don’t get me wrong: I’m still a firm believer in 'Fuck-flattering' and if you're happy flaunting it all, I say go for it. Fact is, I personally just can’t get comfy in body-con things – end up spending all day constantly adjusting everything which just makes me look self-conscious when I'd rather be exuding confidence.
The thing with this dress though is the clever knitted-ribbed design: it hugs and shows of curves without sticking to every lump and bump. The sparkly fabric also makes it great for a night-out – well, a night out in winter: it's a bit too warm to hit the dance floor in this at the mo.
