Aussie Curves: Secondhand

Second-hand was always going to be an easy Aussie Curves theme for moi because I have a wardrobe positively bursting with op-shop finds.

This blue floral frock was sourced on an op-shopping tour of the greater Wollongong/Illawarra region with my cousin Kate who lives down there and has trekked the opshopping trail many a time.

I got lucky squishing myself into this frock. On the hanger it seemed to be another one of my staple op-shop finds: an oversized 80s style drop-waist dress for skinny chicks.

When squeezed onto a larger frame though you get a waisted, full-skirted frock out of which one's bosoms tend to burst: a problem easily solved with a cami underneath.....or not if you're more bosomly inclined.

I'm wearing it here with my comfort-uniform of black leggings, flats and oversized necklace.

This particular rose necklace I thought complemented the colours of the dress and also goes nicely with the flowers in the backyard!

  1. I've just downloaded that Thrift Shop song. Flash backs to PSWFA! Love the shape the dress dress, right down to the cleavage flash. Looking fine Miss Evie.
