How convenient that this week’s ‘Green’ theme should pop up for Aussie Curves as I have been meaning to post these pictures since I took them back in summer.
This is my little green dress. You know how most people have a little black dress? Because black is their safe, easy colour that can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Well green is my equivalent. Something about this shade just works for me with my super-white skin and my (very natural) red hair.
There’s also something about the skater-dress shape that’s good for us pear shaped folk I find. So when Shitty Chic brought out this range of basic cap-sleeve skater dresses in every colour of the rainbow last year, I had to get me a green one.
Hmmm.....I probably should have ironed it before taking these photos....but then on the other hand, fuck that.
This look is a bit more plain and simple than I usually do, hence it’s always my go to outfit if I can’t work out what to wear to work…or dinner…or brunch….or shopping…or a special occasion….or lounging round the house.
I guess what I’m saying is it’s my any-occasion look….the GiantDinosaur necklace from Tatty Devine is therefore an appropriate accompaniment I feel, to add some quirkiness to an otherwise simple outfit.
So, what I’m wearing:
- Green skater dress from City Chic
- Giant black dinosaur necklace from Tatty Devine
- Black Extreme Cat-eye Sunnies from ASOS no longer available sorry :(
- Black strappy shoes from Evans I got them a few years back so they’re no longer available but I’ve noticed these similar ones on ASOS at the mo.
